I decided to start something new with the wallpaper calendars for your computers. Going forward I’m going to try to include two different wallpapers for you to enjoy, one will be showcasing the San Francisco Giants and the other will feature the Minor League San Jose Giants. I’m hoping to accomplish a few goals by taking this approach, the first being to allow some variety in the wallpapers available to you, second showcasing the San Jose Giants who graciously provided media access to myself so as to be able to take some unique and amazing shots, and finally to showcase players that may one day be seen playing at AT&T Park. This month will feature the ballpark of these two teams.
Buster Posey, the face of the MLB, 2010 Rookie of the year, three time World Series Champion, All-Star, the list goes on. A rare shot of Buster not in his usual catchers squat where he’s seen behind the dish or at 1st when Brandon Belt has an off day. Here he sits maybe taking in the atmosphere of the past season as fans enter AT&T Park, maybe mentally preparing to catch Giant ace Madison Bumgarner, or simply having a moment to himself. We may never know, but it’s fun to imagine.
A fan favorite from the start of his Major League career, the chants of “MVPosey”, “Posey’s better!”, and others rumble through the air at the ballpark every at bat, but intensify a hundred fold each post season he and the Giants compete in. Safe to say that he will be joining the ranks in the history of Giant greats in the future.
The Giants Client Realations team’s Twitter account (@SFGiantsSTM) has been retweeting a lot of the Giants season ticket holders tweeting about receiving their season tickets in the mail. This is great seeing all the fans getting ready for baseball season and the Giants Client Relations team getting in on all the fun on social media. The entire organization is amazingly social savvy and great to see more and more parts of the front office interacting with fans in their own way. This year, it was a nice surprise to see a case for the season tickets and a little something to commemorate the fans that fill AT&T Park every home game.
Check out the video and let me know what you think, send me a tweet if you’d like to see more unboxings or just more pictures of our favorite team in baseball!
